Welcome to Santa Fe South Middle School
Santa Fe South Middle School is a public charter school serving the Southside of Oklahoma City. We believe that we are a great alternative to the public school experience. Santa Fe South Middle School has been in existence for four years and we share a belief in our students, our mission, and ourselves. Our school is small and very intimate and this fact has helped us build a great school culture and relationships with our students. Our students come mostly from families whose socioeconomic status is low; and families who have unique difficulties related to the immigration issues our city, state, and nation are facing at this time. But this does not mean that our students are not valuable, or that they cannot learn. In fact, it is our shared belief that they are infinitely valuable and that they possess an amazing amount of potential that empowers us to work as hard as we do for them.
Our common goals are many: to help our students achieve academic success is one of them; however, to help them build character and achieve success as solid contributing members of society is definitely also one of them. We are invested not just in our students, but in their families, because we are in this for the long term; we want to be here for our students' brothers and sisters and also for their own children someday. We are invested not just in our own circle of patrons, but in our community that is facing these same issues. What we want is to build something that is worth repeating; that will prove a model for success for students from varied backgrounds, one that will lead to them to college entrance and graduation, with goals and dreams firmly in place, and with the means to accomplish those dreams.
